Total Cook Time:
25–30 minutes (including preheating and flipping)
Ingredients (Main):
1.5 lbs (700g) chicken wings (split into drumettes and flats)
1 tbsp vegetable oil or olive oil
Seasonings (Dry Rub or Marinade):
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika (smoked or sweet)
1/2 tsp onion powder
Optional: 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper for heat
Optional sauce: Buffalo, BBQ, honey garlic, or your favorite wing sauce
Instructions:
Prep the Wings:
Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. The drier they are, the crispier they’ll get.
Season:
In a large bowl, toss the wings with oil and seasonings until evenly coated.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and preheat for 3–5 minutes.
Cook the Wings:
Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.
Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through (around the 12-minute mark), until golden brown and crispy.
Internal temperature should reach at least 165°F (74°C).
Optional Sauce Toss:
For saucy wings, toss the cooked wings in your favorite sauce immediately after air frying.
Serve:
Enjoy hot with celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing!
