Crock Pot Meatballs

Crock Pot Meatballs

Ingredients:

For the meatballs:

1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground pork
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper

For the sauce:

2 cups marinara sauce
1 cup beef broth
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar (optional for sweetness)

Instructions:

Prepare the Meat Mixture:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, eggs, milk, garlic, parsley, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Use electric food chopper to mix well until evenly combined.

Form the Meatballs:

Roll the mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet.
Optional Browning:

For extra flavor, lightly brown the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat before transferring them to the crock pot.

Prepare the Sauce:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the marinara sauce, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.

Combine in the Crock Pot:

Place the meatballs into the crock pot and pour the sauce over them, ensuring they're fully coated.

Cook:

Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.

Serve:

Serve the meatballs hot over spaghetti, mashed potatoes, or in a sub roll with melted cheese. Garnish with extra parsley or Parmesan if desired.
Note: For finely chopped meat (if using whole cuts instead of ground meat), consider using a food chopper to grind or chop the meat evenly before mixing. Make sure the chopper blades are sharp for consistent results.
