Air Fryer Apple Donuts Recipe
Crispy outside, soft inside, and naturally sweet – these apple donuts are the perfect quick treat made in your air fryer!
Ingredients:
2 large apples (Fuji or Honeycrisp work well)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1 egg
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp sugar (optional for batter)
1 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
Cinnamon sugar (for coating)
Instructions:
Prepare the Apples
Peel and core the apples, then slice into thick donut-shaped rings (about 1/2 inch thick).
Make the Batter
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together egg, milk, vanilla, and sugar if using. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a smooth batter.
Coat the Apple Rings
Dip each apple ring into the batter, making sure it’s fully coated.
Air Fry the Donuts
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place battered apple rings in the air fryer basket in a single layer (work in batches if needed). Air fry for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
Add Topping
Brush each donut with melted butter and immediately roll in cinnamon sugar.
Serve
Enjoy warm as a healthier, fruity twist on classic donuts!
