Ingredients (Main)
1 lb (450g) ground chicken
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
1 egg
1/4 cup grated onion (or finely chopped)
1/4 cup mayonnaise (for moisture)
Seasonings / Additional Ingredients
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika (optional, for a smoky kick)
1/2 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, grated onion, mayonnaise, garlic, salt, pepper, and seasonings. Mix until just combined—don’t overmix or the patties may turn out tough.
Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into 4-6 equal portions and shape them into round patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
Lightly Oil or Spray the Air Fryer Basket
Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Cook the Patties
Place patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through (at the 5–6 minute mark), until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Serve
Let them rest for a minute or two. Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings, or alongside salad, rice, or veggies!
